oh dear what a neglected blog - ahh well real life is actually MUCH more fun! I have been meaning to blog but there always seemed to be something else I wanted to do more, like sitting in the glorious weekend sunshine. Believe me I managed to sit outside all weekend, I read 2 books and yup think that was it - lovely!
So some updates, pigs are bigger and fatter maybe only a few more weeks till pork chop day! The Rotary Club projects I am helping to run are creeping up on us just a month to go before our MASSIVE  - GO HITCHIN weekend, but not too panicked yet. The Wine and Food Festival scheduled for November is ticking along nicely and the School Governors work I am doing will be finished this afternoon ready to send to all for half term. Then I am going to scrap my art out!!!
We had our 10th Anniversary Ball last week - 10 years of Hitchin Tilehouse Rotary club - fantastic do all over to quickly
Scrappy projects, are very few but I did a couple at the lovely Scrapbags crop

A brand new week

Another new week begins and for me only 2 days left before I start working everyday at school. Just as a temporary measure while a friend convalesces. I do enjoy helping out because it is only temporary - have to say I do enjoy not working :) plus this time once finished I am off to Florida so all good.

I thought I had better do a blog post before I do not have any time at all! So, I think the most exciting news for us is that the pig fence is now up - looks strong, apparently they have to be and we have a new gate which we have to be careful off cos they may try and escape! Once back from Florida we will be getting our 2 new additions.  I think we are all ready, we have been given a stock number and all the paper work we need from DEFRA. The arc - just call me Noah!! is being delivered the week as are the feeders we need well the pigs actually need them :) just need the pigs now.
I know must be totally barmy.

I did take David and his mates to MK shopping last week -  they all work part time so they shopped and I sat and had a coffee and read a magazine for hours and hours........... so once I got back to the TOP of the multi storey car park and discovered a flat tyre you can imagine I was thrilled!! So another looooong wait as I sadly, was right under the table when they taught 'how to change a tyre' lessons Mind you the kids wanted to 'have a go' but they did not convince me that they actually could!!

Last week I did manage to scrap quite a lot both at home with Mum and Margaret and with Carole and the lovely ladies at Scrapbags. Here are a couple of my makes........still trying to use up my paper stash
I used the sketch from Crafty Sketches

Off to finish collating some questionnaires I have been doing for school - one of those long boring jobs that I do in little bits so I don't fall asleep.

another weekend flies by.......

Why do they do that - its such a shame? I did manage to spend all of Saturday cropping with the lovely ladies at Scrapbags, and I managed to do several LO's as well as talk LOADS. I think I have this down to a fine art now chatting and scrapping :)

I did this for the sketch over on Twisted Sketches #134 - I rotated the sketch!

Preparing for Las Vegas
 and the smaller text says..............
The twist was NEW - I used some new texture paste

Sunday was spent in London again - I know *rolls eyes* this time to return some items of our Denby dinner service to John  Lewis as they were all marked as if the glaze had come off. All very odd and disappointing. Have to say JL were totally fabulous and changed all the pieces and we left very happy. We then walked through Green Park round Buck House, through St James park and on to Horse Guards. It was really cold but the sun was shining - lovely for walking. We then wandered through Piccadilly stopping at Fortnum and Mason - I really love that shop and on into Bond Street and back to the car. We had a couple of stops for coffee and cake as we were heading home for egg and bacon - the chickens have been on a go slow and now we are suddenly inundated so we needed to use them up.

Today Doug has been working from home so we took the opportunity to run early this morning - its was so cold but lovely as usually I get too hot very quickly. I have to say its much nicer running with someone and I am so chuffed with myself as I managed 6.2km - Doug has a Nike+ so I was determined to do more than my previous 5km. I am still smiling, you would think I had run a marathon!!

Maybe just maybe I will get to this sometime - another of my weekend LO's :)
